Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Unshot iOS app ("Unshot," "the app"). By downloading or using Unshot, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What Unshot does
Unshot scans the photo library on your iPhone, identifies duplicate and visually similar photos, and lets you review and delete the ones you choose. All processing happens on your device. You decide what gets removed; the app never deletes anything without your explicit confirmation.
Your responsibility
Deleting photos is permanent after the 30-day Recently Deleted window Apple provides. You're responsible for reviewing what you choose to remove before confirming a cleanup. We strongly recommend keeping your own backups (iCloud Photos, a computer backup, or similar) independent of Unshot.
In-app purchases
Unshot offers a free tier (unlimited scanning and review, a limited number of free removals) and a one-time "Unshot Pro" purchase that unlocks unlimited removals. Pro is a single, non-recurring purchase: there is no subscription, trial period, or automatic renewal. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's own terms and refund policies. Refund requests should be made directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com, since we have no ability to process refunds ourselves.
No warranty
Unshot is provided "as is." While it's built to accurately detect duplicates and let you review everything before deleting, we can't guarantee it will be error-free or that its similarity detection will match your judgment in every case. You confirm every deletion yourself, and that confirmation is yours to make.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unshot and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including loss of photos you confirmed to delete. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Intellectual property
Unshot, its design, and its code are owned by its developer. You're granted a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on your own devices, subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) for App Store apps.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Continuing to use Unshot after an update means you accept the revised terms. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
